Cancellation and Refund Policy

LegalBillz Services provides digital utility bill payment and recharge facilitation services through authorized payment gateway partners and BBPS infrastructure. This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms governing transaction reversals, cancellations, and refund eligibility.
1. Nature of Bill Payment Transactions
All bill payments and recharge transactions processed through the platform are digitally executed service transactions that are initiated upon user confirmation and processed instantly through banking and biller networks. Upon successful payment authorization and confirmation from the payment gateway and/or BBPS system, the service shall be deemed fully delivered and completed.
2. Cancellation Policy
Users acknowledge and agree that:
- Bill payment transactions cannot be cancelled once successfully processed.
- Cancellation requests shall not be entertained after payment authorization is completed.
- LegalBillz does not have the ability to reverse or stop a transaction once it has been successfully transmitted to the payment gateway or biller system.
Users are solely responsible for verifying:
- Consumer / account number
- Biller selection
- Bill amount
- Payment details
before confirming the transaction.
3. Refund Eligibility
Refunds shall be considered only under the following limited circumstances:
Technical Failure
Where a transaction amount is debited from the user's payment instrument but:
- Payment is not successfully processed
- No biller confirmation is received
- Transaction status remains failed or pending
In such cases, refunds shall be processed as per payment gateway and banking settlement timelines.
Duplicate Payment
If multiple successful payments are made for the same bill due to technical system error and verified by the platform or biller partner.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refund requests shall not be accepted in cases including but not limited to:
- Incorrect consumer number or bill details entered by the user
- Disputes arising from unauthorized device usage or credential sharing
- Payment disputes raised after successful biller confirmation
- Customer change of mind after successful transaction
- Delayed complaint after service consumption
Bill payment services are instant, irreversible, and non-recoverable digital services.
5. Chargeback & Payment Disputes
In case a user raises a payment dispute or chargeback with their bank after successful transaction processing:
- LegalBillz reserves the right to submit transaction authentication logs, IP records, consent records, and service delivery confirmation to payment gateway partners and financial institutions.
- Fraudulent or false dispute claims may result in service suspension, account restriction, or legal action as per applicable laws.
6. Refund Processing Timeline
Eligible refunds, if approved after verification, shall be processed through the original payment method within 5 to 10 working days, subject to banking network and payment gateway settlement cycles. LegalBillz shall not be responsible for delays caused by banking systems.
7. Registration & Merchant Fees
Registration amounts, retailer fees, and merchant onboarding charges are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

Requests received after unreasonable delay may not be eligible for investigation. In all cases, liability is limited to providing the valid recharge or refunding the amount actually received for the failed transaction.
